Frozen Peaches

part of: Peach

Frozen sweetened peach slices are a handy pantry staple that capture the flavour of ripe peaches year-round. They work well in smoothies, baked goods like cobblers and crumbles, or simply thawed and served with yoghurt or ice cream.

Because they’re picked and processed at peak ripeness, frozen peaches often have a more consistent flavour than out-of-season fresh fruit. The added sweetener means they’re ready to use in desserts without much extra sugar.

How it's made

Ripe peaches are harvested, washed, halved, and stoned. The flesh is sliced, treated with a sugar syrup or dry sugar to preserve colour and add sweetness, then rapidly frozen and packaged.
