Cubud on Alexa
Keep your kitchen inventory by voice. Tell your cupboard what you've bought while your hands are full of shopping; ask what's in the freezer without opening it.
What you can say
- "Alexa, ask my cupboard what's in the chest freezer" — hear what's inside any spot.
- "Alexa, tell my cupboard I'm stocking the freezer" — then just name items one after another: "chicken nuggets" … "2 bags of peas" … "that's everything".
- "Alexa, ask my cupboard where the paprika is" — find anything you've put away.
- "Alexa, ask my cupboard how heavy beef mince is" — the carbon footprint of a food, honestly sourced; it will say so when it doesn't know.
- "Alexa, ask my cupboard what I can use instead of butter" — cooking substitutions.
Getting set up
- Enable the skill in the Alexa app (search for the Cubud skill).
- Link your Cubud account when prompted — this keeps your household's inventory yours, across every device.
- Say "Alexa, open my cupboard" to start.
A few honest notes
- Amounts are optional. "Add beans" records some beans; say a number only when you care. There's a household setting to have it ask "how many?" while stocking — and one to keep it quiet.
- Amazon processes your voice; Cubud receives only the text, and we never store audio. Details in our privacy policy.
