Guava Baby Food

part of: Guava

This is a fruit-based baby food combining guava and papaya, thickened with tapioca starch and strained to a very smooth consistency suitable for young infants. It offers a gentle introduction to tropical fruit flavours.

Guava and papaya are a natural pairing, both being soft, fragrant tropical fruits. The tapioca serves as a mild thickener that gives the purée a slightly more substantial texture without introducing strong flavours or common allergens.

As a commercially prepared strained baby food, it is designed to be ready to serve with no additional preparation required.

How it's made

Ripe guava and papaya are washed, peeled, and deseeded. The fruit flesh is cooked until very soft, then puréed with cooked tapioca. The mixture is strained to remove any remaining seeds, fibres, or lumps, producing a uniform, smooth consistency. It is then sealed in jars or pouches and heat-treated for shelf stability.
